We’ve made changes to how you send and receive digital assets.

We are getting in touch by implementing the travel rule to the exchange, you will notice some changes to the way you are sending and receiving digital assets at MX Global platform.

Here is what you need to know:

 

What’s changed?

 

As an MX user, you are required to provide additional information about the person or entity and the name of the exchange platform to that you are sending digital assets. Once MX Global has this information, MX Global will securely send payment instructions to the exchange platform that you are sending to.

These instructions will include the details you are required to declare about the recipient as well as certain information about yourself. This will include information such as name, identity number, and home address.

 

Why’s it changing?

 

This change is pursuant to the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has joined a growing number of regulators around the world to introduce the “Travel Rule” to the Malaysian regulatory framework for Digital Asset Service Providers (VASPs). As a Recognized Market Operator – Digital Asset Exchange (RMO-DAX) regulated by the SC in Malaysia, MX Global is required to implement the “Travel Rule.” For more in-depth information, please refer to our Travel Rule.
